Fall v Hitchen (1972) A ballet dancer was required to dance when so directed, but was paid weekly whether or not he performed or rehearsed. The taxpayer was encouraged by the ballet company to find other work, but he was not successful. It was held that he should be assessed under Schedule E (employment).
